AAA, AA and even single A all play to win, regular shifts and the hint of equal ice time doesn't happen until games are decided. If you need to call and berate a coach over ice time then do yourself and more importantly your kid a favor and drop a level.
This is spot on. Only the most delusional parents whine and complain about ice time. Letter chasers that don’t understand the game or development.

My kid has had a letter since U11 AAA, means nothing, it's all about key minutes and not sitting when they drop to 6 forwards and 4 D.

I know parents on our team last season who were complaining, thought their kid had the best shot and should play top minutes, it didn’t happen so they left the team and apparently they do that every year. I feel bad for them
