Coaches or at least people have been awarded teams. Weather those people actually coach the team is a different story.

From what I heard VK, JRC, TYN and TM all spoken for , so the main players are already building.

Who has those teams and how can you start skating with them? I know a lot will change before AAA but in today's Canadian hockey landscape it's political and you have to align / grow 2 years out.

Agree 100% i mean look at Vaughan red and blue total flat line already. If you have older kids playing in the G already you know and see getting into the G after the first year is harder. The league just recycles kids from tes to teams

because their model isnt local kids, its attracting aaa coaches to bring in stacked teams from the gta.

they also can’t compete with full ice.

Fun facts to throw out there...if you're going Klevr, chances are you're an engaged hockey parent who also has your kid playing spring hockey. Average spring teams do 3-4 tournaments. A lot of parents have their kids on two spring teams, making it 6-8 tournaments. That's anywhere from ~15-36 games of full ice hockey.

Next season, the main difference will be that Klevr has full ice October through December. In that time, in the NYHL, you'd have 12 3/4 ice games. Then for the winter, another 12 full ice.

So for a calendar year, you're looking at 12 full ice games out of a total of around 54 games they would play. In the grand scheme of their minor hockey rep years, 12 out of more than 300 games. At 8 years old.

You have to ask yourself -- am I that nuts of a hockey parent to choose a rogue league for 12 more full ice games at 8 years old?

I find it a bit funny how we are chasing more full ice games and but then love small area games in practice. I think 1/2 or 3/4 ice good for 2015s. Full season should be small ice.

It's not about development and never has been. Parents of kids who are strong skaters want their ego stroked. That happens more on full ice than it does on half or 3/4 ice. If this was about development, guess what folks...come u16 there's no space out there. Kids who learned to play in tight spaces will be better.
