Interesting divisional alignment. Looks like an organization set it up so one of their teams makes it to the finals.
I’d bet on Applewood and NT finishing ahead of TR in pool B.
I'm curious why any U14A and up teams would even play in the SIlverstick anymore? You can't move on because of no body checking. It's only a 3 game guarantee. Field looks pretty weak as well. So many better tourneys to play in.
Ridiculous comment.

U16A has 12 teams playing this year and U17A has 16 teams.

What other tournaments can you move on from in non contact hockey? None? Ok, thanks for the input Leroy.

Aside from VRW, field was solid.
Nobody moves on from Silverstick at the A once U14 kicks in....its just a weekend tournament...read the fine print
Noschitt Sherlock, nobody suggested otherwise.

A Challenge Cup and Oakville Winter classic had and have better teams.
What teams need to be in the tournament to meet your standard?

TE, SIR and ?

It's non contact A. Limited options and a crapshoot wherever and whenever you register.

That standard is the standard right now for A, so yes. Oakville has a good field of teams. Siliverstick had none of the big boys...but regardless, good on Port Credit for the W in a just below top tier grouping

Who are these big boys you speak of?
NT and VRE are 3rd and 4th by points, and 3rd by win % (a hair behind FH with games in hand.)
PC and AW are 1st and 3rd in the MHL by points and win %.
You’ve got 4 top 3 teams in an 8 team field. Maybe not the toughest group ever assembled. But “none of the big boys” is the kind of thing you say when you know squat about the game.

I thought that must be a typo but then checked all of Leaside’s scores and they have now beaten SIR, FH and VRE and tied NT and TA. But also lost to NYK and WHGH. Weird.

LF goalie is excellent and can steal any close game.
