I heard FH getting the 1,2 best AA players so they be a lot better.
Relying on skillz only. Zero coaching!
I heard that a kid who wore 97 for a high end AA team is going to ….. oooh it’ll be a major move. Y’all will see in OCT this kid is out of this world. 130 points last year. 62 goals.
high end… lol
We all know that the top AA teams are SYB and EE
Yes to the top teams comment but the stud kid comes from FH and will be one hell of a challenge for the A loop to contain. With that said, he will not be surrounded with the same talent but will definitely be the stand out in the Division next year
Last time I checked this is still hockey which is a team sport unlike golf...

Stop the madness.
The AA loop has been water downed more and more these past few years.
62 goals is nothing to brag about for a player when at least 60 of the goals are against soft teams such as TR AA with a ZERO wins column.

Good luck next season, kid. Remember, the more you hype something up the higher the expectations when the bill comes due. One of life's best lessons is to under-promise and over-deliver - the way you're trolling FH will have to go undefeated to live up to the expectations you're laying out.

We already know. Top AA kid from FH moving to A - and I mean top from ALL of AA, not just his team. He will dominate the division. Scary part is he isn’t the only one joining the team. This kid wil eat SIR alive.
FH AA forward definitely one of top 2 kids on his team. All the top AA teams had 3 or 4 of his caliber type player so it’s a stretch to say he was the “top from ALL of AA”. He will certainly excel and make that team better. Best of luck to him.

The other kid was THE best player in AA by a long shot.

If AA is watered down, what’s A? A piss trickle?

The other kid was on a team that didnt make the playoffs, if he was the best player in AA they would have done much better.

Guest wrote: Wed May 21, 2025 12:13 pm I’m writing this letter as a concerned parent and member of the 2010 A community who is passionate about the game of hockey and the positive impact it should have on all our children. Over the past seasons, a recurring concern has surfaced among families, players, and even some quiet coaches: the problematic dynamic when parent-coaches consistently place their own children in favorable positions regardless of performance, often to the detriment of team morale and development.

Let’s be blunt—many of these situations involve children who, by most observable standards, struggle to keep up with the pace or skill level of their peers. And yet, they are often given prime ice time, protected from criticism, or even exempt from the accountability expected of others. This creates an unfair playing field, fosters resentment, and sends a damaging message to the rest of the team: merit and effort matter less than personal relationships.

We all understand that hockey is a volunteer-driven sport, and we appreciate the time, energy, and commitment that parent-coaches provide. But with that responsibility comes the need for transparency, fairness, and putting the team’s development first—above individual bias. The goal should always be to nurture all players equally, based on effort, attitude, and skill—not proximity to the coach.

The optics of this issue are hard to ignore, and they undermine the integrity of our sport. We’re not asking for perfection—just fairness. If a player is struggling, let’s coach them up with the same energy we give to any other struggling kid. But let’s also acknowledge when favoritism is affecting the growth of the team and the enjoyment of the game for others.

We respectfully ask the division to consider the following:

Implement anonymous feedback systems where parents and players can safely share concerns about coaching dynamics.

Provide training or guidelines for parent-coaches on how to manage the dual role of coach and parent equitably.

Create oversight or peer-review mechanisms to ensure ice time, positions, and discipline are applied fairly.

Let’s ensure that hockey continues to be a place where hard work, teamwork, and growth are what matter most—and where every player, regardless of whose child they are, has a fair chance to succeed
I think this issue is as old as the game of hockey and coaching.
I heard VRE suffers from this issue
Are you saying the coach should cut his son?
Maybe he should coach select ?

Team was trash. Coach played him out of position to put him on his kids wing. Even the bad coaches were able to double and triple team him without fear of leaving his centre man open. Was also targeted by coaches who sent kids out to hurt him intentionally. With FH teammate and no contact, on an already good team, you’re comparing apples to toothbrushes.
