2015 AA
Re: 2015 AA
Right now, the main intrigue is who will win the regular season, who will finish in 6th place, and what will happen in the playoffs. My prediction: MNS will hold onto the top spot, ST will drop to 7th, and 6th place will go to either DD or, more likely, TW.
In the playoffs, only MNS, VP, VR, and MB have a realistic shot at the title. My bet is on either MB or VR—provided they stay out of unnecessary penalty trouble.

The same VR that has never beaten VP and MNS?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 11:51 am Right now, the main intrigue is who will win the regular season, who will finish in 6th place, and what will happen in the playoffs. Re: 2015 AA
The same VR that is undefeated against MB (who has beaten them both) and has played both MNS and VP in tight games, just havent quite finished the job... But wouldnt the playoffs be the right time to do it anyways.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 12:07 pmThe same VR that has never beaten VP and MNS?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 11:51 am Right now, the main intrigue is who will win the regular season, who will finish in 6th place, and what will happen in the playoffs. It'll be interesting to watch, but right now, FT looks like the weakest of the top five teams. VP isn't focused on winning games—they prioritize development, which is great in the long run but likely boring for kids who train skills without proper game application. VR, on the other hand, has shown solid improvement throughout the season. They rely more on speed and emotion—a true team of fighters.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 12:18 pmFT is better than VR.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 11:51 am Right now, the main intrigue is who will win the regular season, who will finish in 6th place, and what will happen in the playoffs. In contrast, MB and MNS are more balanced. They’ve provided strong development while remaining result-oriented, backed by excellent coaching and MB also have solid goalie or even a pair of goalies.
Moving forward, the biggest challenge for MNS and MB is the limited talent pool in Mississauga. Vaughan and North York serve as the heart of minor hockey in Canada, with a strong pipeline from York Region. Out west, Oakville and Burlington remain hockey powerhouses, while participation in Mississauga and Brampton continues to decline. Without their current coaches, Applewood kids would likely be somewhere much lower, but the MNS staff has done an outstanding job. The Beast face a similar, though slightly better, situation.
MB and MNS must either recruit new talent from somewhere or find ways to maximize player development over the summer, because both VR and VP will get some good kids from OMHA and those who left AAA.

VP has beaten VR 3x by a combined score of 13-3, of which only one game was close.
MNS has beaten VR 3x by a combined score of 15-4, of which only one game was close.
Byt this is all because those teams care more about winning than VR which is out there developing kids as the only goal.
Nevermind the talent pool in Mississauga what’s in the water north of the 7?
Re: 2015 AA
Faustina is an excellent team with solid coaching and has been very consistent all year - no multi game burners like some other teams perhaps but also no slump. Also solid showings in tournaments including winning.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:05 pmIt'll be interesting to watch, but right now, FT looks like the weakest of the top five teams. Whoever wrote this has rose coloured glasses on about Vaughan which isn’t even the best team in the alleged powerhouse of hockey region.

If they aren’t focused on winning up in Vaughan maybe somebody should tell the parent group that!!Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:15 pmWow VR parent…Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:05 pmIt'll be interesting to watch, but right now, FT looks like the weakest of the top five teams. The only time I set foot in Vaughan is when I’m going to Wonderland.
Re: 2015 AA
lol- all that counts is the last month or so. Look at VRs performance and look at VP. One is improving one is declining. Your addition skills are great however games months back mean absolutely nothing today. Keep trying.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:15 pmWow VR parent…Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:05 pmIt'll be interesting to watch, but right now, FT looks like the weakest of the top five teams.
