Can anyone advise why Mississauga Hockey League teams join the GTHL for 10-11 U A divisions then go back to the MHL the rest of the way?

It didnt help that the coach that was selected for PC has a personal relationship with the people who run PC.

People in PC thought a beloved HL coach was going to get the 10U spot by default. For 2years or more they sucked up to him. When he didn’t get the spot he approached LP to be an assistant coach. Then an Applewood coup happened and some left for there.

Yes the new PC coach has ties to the executive there, but he is a much more experienced player and coach then what they would have had IMO.

This is accurate. The house league coach was not ready for the A team.

Sounds like some better communication would have solved this and less players would have left PC.

Seems like Port Credit is a toxic association. Lots of other options to choose from. If they have that much drama before the season starts - not a great sign of things to come.

There are 5 other associations in Mississauga. Pc though often has double the registrations of any one of the others. It’s anyone’s guess why people don’t sign up for the association in the immediate area they live in. People do say that PC paperweight HL is great so I guess that draws the families in for early age. Coliacavo and Tavares kids played there last year and neither live in Mississauga.

The drama left for Applewood.

What do the parents of the Applewood association think of the PC invasion? Kids move from associations all the time but what I understand is that only a couple kids that played for Applewood their early years are on team and rest ade from PC.

I would also like to know this. What organizations formed teams in the East (and didn't fold)?
