We will be providing 'Elite' level training to our rep teams, tier 1 coaching, an organization rooted in the community of Aurora and teams competing and winning championships. We have reoriented ourselves around Open Borders and will be thriving as a result. Come to AGM next week and the Board will show you the vision and people that will make AMHA thrive in 2025/2026 and beyond. Our feeder system from house league is even getting stronger. Go Tigers!
This is hilarious because EVERY organization says this. Every single point.

The laugh out loud moment is the Tier 1 coach...............you literally have to have specific coach training through HC to coach at the rep level. The training doesn't say anything about how good of coach you are and every organization says they have top tier coaching.

Of course competing and winning championships is what everyone strives for but what you really want to do is create an environment with your association where kids want to show up to the rink, win or lose, families want to come to your organization, you don't have kids chasing letters, a real sense of community.

I know of a house league association where they almost folded just before covid because numbers were low, and their executive quit because they couldn't get enough volunteers. they were doing triple and quadruple duties. There were some families involved in the association that stepped up to help and they have completely turned around the association. They have families that don't want to leave. They lose a couple kids a year to rep but for the most part, their select teams compete for championships and stay together year after year. Families are so close knit that they go camping together multiple times each year and get together for training in the off season. I'm not just talking about 1 select team, it's all select teams. That's what I want from an organization. That's what I want from my association.

Maybe Aurora and more associations should take a look at this to make some changes. Make your association a destination, not a layover. Most of us know that our kids aren't making the pros so why not give them an experience of belonging, having fun and be part of a hockey family?

OMG C o r b y enough already. Nobody is buying into your bs. You don't have elite level training, you have TS who is new, and has to build up his program. Hardly elite. As for your tier 1 coaching, come on really. There's maybe a half a dozen coaches in the entire association that are good. Stop with the bs already, 'tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, then to open your mouth a remove all doubt.

Wow. Eat a giant D I C K you mentally deranged loser. You seriously think the people of Aurora believe your crap?!
There you go using your big boy words again. You realize the only one that sounds mentally deranged is you right? Unhinged and deranged.

Your association is deranged. You know nothing about hockey, have no hockey experience, are generally un athletic, obese and condone and witness the abuse of children within your organization. You should be ashamed. The ridiculous bravado the AMHA execs walk around with is laughable. People make fun of you for being such losers. You run a crap organization with no credentials. When we see you all in public, we cringe. Good job. I hope this was your life goal, you degenerates. Hahaha.

How does the AMHA justify a $975 registration fee, an approx 30% increase over last year? What more will the players get that they didn't last season? and don't tell me tier 1 coaching and training etc. Or is this increase to help them get out of financial troubles that they are in? Making up for decrease in registrations?

I feel bad for the parents that trust these words. Many of them just don't know any better.
Please help me understand as a parent in the Aurora 2012 division how MM received an award at the AGM last night for his dedication.
Why are the complaints, surveys, emails and forums like this one not being addressed properly? Why is Corby so supportive of someone who should not be coaching at the same level for 6 consecutive years when there have been others who want to coach this division with a child that plays at a AA level. What is the AMHA hiding? The OMHA has to get involved and reach out to all past and present families. This is corruption involving kids.

Apologies that I wasn't able to make it out to the board meeting last night. A 4 hour round trip in the rain didn't fit in to my schedule. 😂 Also, I am fighting my own battles within my organization that I am losing at the moment.

It's really sad that grown ass adults put their own interests and agendas ahead of the kids best interests. This is 100% all about the kids and giving them an enjoyable experience, creating memories and forging friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime.

The house league association I mentioned above has figured it out. They have a lot of homegrown talent and they compete at all levels for the Alliance Select Championship every year. They do lose some kids to rep each year but they make it so that you feel such a part of the association and community that you don't look elsewhere. Obviously they have their own problems but the feedback I get from the families involved is mind blowing.
