Most have left for KSL next season. It will likely be some of the existing tier 2 teams being moved up. Few remaining talented players but will not have competition to play against. We were considering our options and decided to join a KSL team as well. Every kid and situation is different so explore it. KSL teams are already picked unless a few may have a few roster spots.
Throw down 10k and anyone can find a spot in the KSL. Lots of teams have 1-2 spots to fill city wide.
None of the teams are charging 10k. Its about $4500 and with 3 practices a week, multiple exhibition games and the number of regular season games you are getting what you pay for.
Thanks KV
It’s going to be 10k. Been there done that
Which team charged you 10k?

Guest wrote: Thu Jul 11, 2024 9:26 am There is no truth to the above post. As a parent with a kid in the second year in KSL nobody I’ve spoke to has charged 10k. Too much false info. If someone wants to know the truth just call up one of the teams. A lot of insecure parents. Good luck wherever you play.
If your doing 8 showcases I can’t see how the cost could be any less then 10k. Hotels alone would be a lot.
Only hotel we had to stay overnight was Belleville. Stoney Creek and Toronto were drives. OMHA teams drive far every weekend.

All a complete scam. Play your half ice hockey and let your kid be a kid like every other age group in the history of hockey. Stop being whacko

Unfortunately, playing half ice hockey when all the decent players left for greener pastures will leave your kid skating half ice circles against ankle biters who can barely hold a stick.

KSL is dead. We did it last year with purple cobras and it was a horrible experience. The development sucks and the coach RW has no real experience playing or coaching hockey at a competitive level. Beer leaguer who talks a big game. Oh and he charged us $9000. No thanks.

Pure lies. We paid about $5k on the Cobras. We had a very good experience in KSL. It was well organized, great competition with other teams and we are back for another year. If a kid is still learning to skate half ice is probably better to develop but kids who are more advanced it make sense to play full ice.

Ya sure it does. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Why do professionals play small area games non stop? Why don’t they just drop a puck and skate end to end. Hockey Canada has figured out better than we have , thanks for your KSL endorsement, but from here on out I’d suggest leaving the hockey development up to the professionals.

It was 9,000 so nice try. Not one brick kid from Canada played Klevr, did you notice that? It’s a cash grab with shitty development.

Shows how ignorant the above poster is. KSL kids stop at u9 , it was the first year in the league. How would they even be old to play in the Brick. We paid like 5500 but that’s normal for the amount of ice you get. If a new league starts why would someone criticize it? It’s only due to feeling threatened. Facts.
