Last seasons pilot results were passed out along with a new survey asking centers to provide feedback (based around some questions).

Basically reiterating what they always say about more touches, shots, goals, etc. being the most important thing, so nothing should change.

The only stat they should be watching is how many AAA players in U10 are from outside Hockey Canada that were playing full ice all of U9 (and possibly earlier).

If the AAA temas are not taking the HC half ice transition kids over the rogue full ice kids then the system isn't working and the tier 1 \ MD stream should be adopting full ice sooner.

When HC realizes how much money they are losing, they will make a change. No matter what data they have, the almighty dollar wins out.

Does anyone know what the rule will be for this coming season? Has anything been announced? What are expectations?

The final review of the Pilot is in June, but given tryouts already happened in some centers and no change was announced safe to say no changes for next season. They would have kept the delay on tryouts to September (the way it always has been) if they were going to seriously consider changes.

everything has been done backwards already - i would not be surprized and and rumor of Dec 1 has been circling.

Tournaments and seasons are already getting setup, registration fees were setup based on halfice, ice time and schedules being created. There is very little chance they would make a change at this point. Dec 1st also makes no sense for the same reasons among many others. Why are we playing half ice for 8 weeks, seriously.. why.. It's such a short amount of time, coaches will schedule like 6 games in that period (or less if they can) and just load up Dec with 3 games a week. Running a half ice jamboree in Dec/Christmas/early Jan is not the same as a full ice elimination tournament.

Dec 1st is a joke rumor someone made up and is laughing every time they see it passed around. I've heard it several years in a row.
