One of those hand picked AAA teams got absolutely crushed this morning..... embarrassing in such a weak tournament

Listen, lets call a spade a spade. If you are looking at any of these tournaments to help your little Johnny make a draft spot, stop. Its a cool concept and a chance for kids to have some fun and get some cool rings. They get interviewed and posted on social media. But this is not where you are going to get drafted.

If you have someone good enough to be drafted, you are not worrying about doing these tournaments. Your boy is in the gym, sleeping well, eating right and doing some power skating sessions to help the development of fundamentals.

In saying that, Ill never bash anyone who provides a cool concept for kids to have fun and enjoy the game. Everyone just needs to understand what these really are.

You are way too logical for this message board.
Well said.

Sounds like parents that can’t afford it or not invited.
It’s a weekend of hockey and meeting new friends.
Lots of people over analyzing the tournament that had decent players.
It’s not an elite tourney but mainly AAA kids.
Bottom line it was run well and a weekend of fun

Only cash grab if you can’t afford it or not invited.
Do you pay for ice when they train? They get at least 4/games pending how bad your kid is. I assume yours really bad. Plus a weekend meeting new friends and playing a game the boys love

If you put your name on the mailing list you were invited buddy and if you paid the fee you were in. The only AAA kids who played in this tournament were the ones who couldn't make any of the real tournaments for AAA kids or the parents who have to keep propping up their kids to make them feel they're AAA.
This was another nothing tounament for nothing kids and delusional dads who think their kid still has a shot.

Angry a little?

Let’s not bash the kids here. Come on. Like I said before, as long as everyone knows what this is, then who really cares.

Your kid won’t get drafted as a scout or family will probably say how crazy you are anyways.
Enjoy beer league with your boy. The poor kid has a dad that thinks his kid is too good for tournaments.
What’s your kids name?
We will see where he gets drafted. I will go on the record and say NEVER

This is true.
If your kid played and had a good time and met new friends, that’s great. But don’t pretend this was an exclusive tournament by any means. Anyone who registered got a spot. That’s why single A kids ended up in AAA tournament.
