this being my 2nd go around with Brick, i hope you all realize and understand that by October it wont matter at all weather you went or not. By October kids that didnt go will still be right there or in some cases ahead of those who went. You are absolutely nuts. You can go to Europe any year .. the Brick is a once in a lifetime and sets your kid up for life.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 7:16 pmWe’re off to Europe where our kids can see something, eat proper food, catch some sun, smell the salt in the air. Re: 2015 AAA
Why do Brick parents feel like they need to justify their life decisions by trying to convince everyone that $20k "investment" was a good idea? Enjoy your tacky air force ones and leave the rest of us alone.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 8:39 pmWould you not trade a trip to Europe for an opportunity to play in the Brick? We are talking about the Brick. The Brick ! People are choosing a week at Muskoka or a trip to Europe over the Brick ? Nuts! You can’t be serious. You have a chance to be apart of the Best and you pass ? Best players, Best people, Best competition, Best growth potential for your kid! To be the Best you need to be around and beat the Best. Parents don’t get it.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 12:20 pmWhy do Brick parents feel like they need to justify their life decisions by trying to convince everyone that $20k "investment" was a good idea? These kids are 9, get over yourself! How your kid performs at 9 and at this tournament has zero effect on their future in hockey.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 2:36 pmWe are talking about the Brick. Go and spend time with your family on vacation rather than be at a hockey rink in Edmonton in July.
Re: 2015 AAA
What matters most at 9 or 10 isn’t a trophy in Edmonton. It’s whether your kid is still smiling, still improving, and still in love with the game a few years from now. Whether that happens on the ice at the Brick, on a rink in Europe, Canlan tournaments, or with a stickhandling ball on a beach, it all counts.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 2:51 pmThese kids are 9, get over yourself! Let the kids enjoy it and let’s not lose our minds over it.
