I don't know of any. Honestly, I'd be curious who these 10-15 goalies are.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jun 04, 2025 9:29 amFair perspective. I've seen the kid in question, he's good. But to your point, his dad walks around telling people he's the best goalie that ever existed.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 8:47 amYou are right, kid isn't bad at all. He's a solid goalie. But, the fact that he's treated like he's the best goalie in the age group when he's realistically in that upper grouping like a bunch of other kids, is just his daddy's doing.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 6:10 pmWhy cause he talked about a kid's play calling him average? Is that what it takes these days to get butthurt? I didn't see him attack the kids character or his demeanor. He made an observation of the situation. Bunch of snowflakes. Must have voted Liberal. It's AAA folks, constructive criticism. Deal with it cause it gets worse.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 5:26 pmSomeone got loose from the looney bin again… talking about 8-9 years olds must be a pretty exciting part of your day.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 4:27 pmGuest wrote: ↑Sat May 31, 2025 10:31 pm
Yes. Can confirm he got kicked out as a doorman. Which wasn't that bad, he was a bit heated but nothing crazy. However, the goalie dad is friggin nuts in general. Dude has an insane perspective on his kid. Thinks hes the greatest goalie in the world. I've seen like 5 goalies easily hands down better than him in the 2016 loop.
And don't kid yourself he is all over this site. This guy is so delusional he's doing his kid a disservice. Talk about rose colored glasses. It's winning at all costs and always tries to get the upper hand to benefit his kid. AD should read between the lines and ditch this guy cause his team inflates his kids numbers. The kid hasn't been tested to date with a lot of shots. Play against good competition with shots on goal and he's average.
kid has never not been on one of the best teams. He goes games without taking much of a shot at all. In the games this past weekend when he was tested by better teams, he let in quite a few goals that were not really tough ones.
hes part of that top 15 goalies in 2016 that are all fairly interchangeable. All solid, but no goalie at this age group is lights out. It will take another year or two of growth before they are. Too small in a big net.
I agree, there are probably around 10-15 good goalies, and none of them are "lights out" but there is sure as hell a huge drop off after those kids. So, as much as they are all still young and none of them are complete monsters in the net - they are clearly the best of the best and some of the better goalie at U9 / U10 i've seen in a while. (Two older sons, one is 2009AA and one is 2013AAA - neither of which had goalies this advanced at their age)
Curious if any teams have two of these better goalies on the same team for next year? Or are there so few that there is only one good goalie per team?
I did hear though that the goalie kid in question's dad tried to get an 80-20 split on games with his goalie partner this fall. If that doesn't say everything you need to know about that dad, I am not sure what else will.
