2016 AAA
Re: 2016 AAA
Sexual assault . Apparently org is now suspended. What happens to all the players? Are they out of a team for fall?
Re: 2016 AAA
Surely someone can spin up an alternate org in the area? Maybe Versteeg will create a new team and take the area over.

LETTER TO FAMILIES
May 27, 2025
Attention: Families of Purple Cobras Hockey Association
Dear Families,
Re: Update Regarding Purple Cobras Membership Status and League Action
We are writing to you today with an important update regarding the status of the Purple Cobras Hockey Association (the “Purple Cobras”) within the Klevr Super League Inc. (the “KSL”).
The KSL has recently been made aware of serious allegations of both criminal and ethical nature concerning no names Wood, the Director of Hockey Operations of the Purple Cobras. The allegations are deeply upsetting and concerning to the KSL, and are entirely inconsistent with the standards that we uphold. If substantiated, the conduct would result in serious violations of the KSL’s Code of Conducts and Ethics under the KSL Manual of Operations.
Effective immediately, Mr. Wood has been suspended from all involvement with the KSL. Regrettably, as Mr. Wood remains the owner of the Purple Cobras at the date of this letter, and a member of his family remains operationally involved with the Purple Cobras, we have no choice but to suspend the team’s Affiliate Membership status until further notice.
Our top priority is the impact that this has on the players and families associated with the Purple Cobras, and we are committed to doing everything in our power such that players can remain in the KSL. As a result, KSL is closely monitoring the situation, including a potential sale or transfer of the Purple Cobras. Should an acceptable sale or transfer of the Purple Cobras be proposed that ensures that Mr. Wood and his family are no longer involved in any capacity, the KSL will consider reinstatement of the Purple Cobras’ membership status. However, we want families to be prepared for the possibility that if this is not achieved in a timely manner, the KSL will have no choice but to terminate the Purple Cobras’ affiliate membership. If that occurs, we will be looking for a new affiliate member to enter into the KSL organization in the Barrie area.
We understand how upsetting this news will be to the families that have no fault to bear in the current circumstances. Please be assured that the safety, well-being, and trust of our families and players remain our highest priority. The KSL is doing everything in its power to support a transition in ownership and management that aligns with the KSL’s values and expectations.
In the meantime, any fees paid to the Purple Cobras that have been transferred to the KSL in respect of the 2025-2026 season will be securely held, which includes team fees and fess for the first event of the season. These funds will remain in trust during this transition period. If and when a decision regarding the Purple Cobras’ ongoing membership under new leadership for the upcoming season is made, you will be given the option to either: (i) apply your existing fees toward continued participation; or (2) request a full refund. Any other fees paid to the Purple Cobras should be addressed with them directly.
Please be assured that your children’s uniform and apparel order remains in place, subject to a change in team name depending on the outcome of this process.
We are committed to transparency and fairness, and will provide you with an update on the status of the team no later than 30 days from the date of this letter. You and your children are at the heart of this league, and we recognize the impact this situation may have on your trust and experience. That is not something we take lightly.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at mailto:jamie.stone@klevr.ai.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work through this matter with urgency and care.
Sincerely,
Jamie Stone
