Just because his opinion was different then another coaches doesn't mean he can't recognize talent. Coaches often disagree on a players skills, attitude etc and different coaches see different things. I assume this was the case. I am glad your son is successful playing AAA that's awesome even more of a reason to move on. Why do you care so much about MM and his new team now? What does the constant daily bashing of him on this page do for you? Just let it go already. Its time to move on

Because it’s sad to see amazing, capable kids held back. A select group of kids berated, chastised and cut for ridiculous reasons, having nothing to do with their level of skill. I’m sad for the kids he’s impacted. The AMHA defending this behaviour is incredibly suspect.

I don’t bash him daily by the way. I was at a recent AMHA tryout for another kid and saw how horribly run it was and decided to jump on here and see what’s up. Saw this thread and stated my experience. Sounds like others… a lot of them, feel the same. Maybe you should look into it instead of defending the clear misuse of power.

So a AAA coach establishes a kid is good enough to AP but MM says “nope” on a consistent basis, you’re saying that’s a “difference of opinion”? That’s called limiting opportunity. If a kid has an opportunity with a better team, their current coach should be honoured. Instead, in this case, he was threatened. Selfishness from him always. Consideration for no one but himself.

He identified his kid an AA player though.

Every AMHA exec and the AMHA head coach walks around tryouts with an absolute cringey amount of bravado, it’s crazy. This association is run by power hungry, wannabe hockey execs. It’s an absolute joke. Tryouts and style of play - embarrassing. AMHA execs- unathletic, zero hockey knowledge, power hungry losers.

Guest wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:23 pm It absolutely is bashing. You stated your opinion many times but its time to move on now. Let it go. MM is the coach for 14aa and is building his team which is none of your concern anymore.
Omg Corby- stop. Your association is corrupt, horribly run, terrible development. Your executives are out of control. Just stop…Talking. Everyone knows. Anyone you gain this year will be gone next year.

Honestly take it down a notch. So much bitterness and name calling over and over again to what end? Move on already. You don't like MM. You don't like the AMHA. You don't like anything. Here's a thought...... concentrate all this energy on your new teams and stop obsessing over MM and the AMHA board members.
