Let’s be honest. No one in this 2009 has a shot at the NHL due to COVID regulations in Canada. All the boys missed key development years on a team. Other countries were all playing and training like normal for the 3-4 years. I’ve seen American and Swedish prospects at this age, and they’re much better. It’s not even close. The Canadian 09 players have no edge work or skating, which is a must at the NHL level.

The dream is over after this year, just remember that. Playing in the GTHL after u16 and thinking you will go anywhere is delusional.
