Finn Kearns: The Next Big Thing in Sudbury, or Just Another Hype Train?
The Sudbury Wolves have signed Finn Kearns, a big, physical defenseman. He’s put up decent numbers in prep school, but the real question is: can he translate that to the OHL? Is his “man strength” at 16 enough to make him a force against older, more experienced players? I'm curious to see how he performs against seasoned competition. Will he be a shutdown defender, a power-play quarterback, or something else entirely? What are people’s expectations for Kearns this season? Do you think he’ll live up to the hype, or will he be another overhyped prospect? Let's hear your predictions. Is this the type of player Sudbury needs to make a deep playoff run? How will he fit into their current lineup? I'm also interested in hearing from any York-Simcoe Express followers. What kind of player was he in minor hockey? Does his style of play suggest he’s ready for the OHL? This signing has definitely sparked my interest, and I’m eager to see how this unfolds. What are your thoughts?
