EE - class of the East again, core never seems to change, consistent performers will be tough to beat in the playoffs
SYB - another great regualr season, some predicted a fall in the standings with AAA departures but the Bruins filled in the holes and pushed the Ticats all season long. Can they avoid a repeat of last seasons upset loss to WH
WH - Best regular season finish for this crew, but fell short of expectations. Expected to push for top spot, the Hawks never put it all tigether but loom as a big threat in the playoffs
NT best story of the year, finally put it together and played their most consistent hockey. Will be interesting to see if they can do any damage in playoffs.
NYK lots of change but not for.the better. Started off as a title contender but faded as season went along. Still capable of a surprise or 2 in playoffs.
FH - tough season for the former title contender. Roster did not recover from off season departures and more appear to be on the way next season.
GPR - good season for the Rangers. Always felt like a playoff team and played the Bruins tough which should make for a good opening round series
MI this group deserves a ton of credit. Could easily let the season slip away after tough start but battled back and clearly deserved the final playoff spot

What happened that makes you think that? I don't know the answer, but was going to give MI props for a tie when everyone (myself included) thought they were done in 3.
