Whether this happens or not is yet to be seen, but I can tell you that 100% coaches are being more careful than in the past. They have been told by orgs to be careful and keep things on the down low. Be happy your kid still wants to play hockey at U16, and be patient. No rush, they will find their spot.
Issue is kids aren't being told they don't have a spot back and G is telling coaches they can't say anything until tryouts. So with tryouts on the same day(s) it makes it impossible and families will be left scrambling.

Oh... Eagles lost to the Sharks. I'm not sure there's a favorite between Eagles, Sharks and Avs. Any of these teams could win the West and it wouldn't be a surprise.

Predicting Eagles play WM in one semi, while Sharks and Avs will be the series to watch. Impossible to pick a winner.

Do the Panthers really get to play a playoff game??
No they won't, some are quietly having skates and some have quietly already offered spots to other players. After the 15th you'll just see business as usual and skates happening like any other year. You'll have loads of time to figure it out.

Top 6 make playoffs so yes Panthers are a lock. It's pretty tight, I wouldn't be surprised if Avs win the west but still a long shot. Eagles are fav, don't see HVS having enough come playoff time.
Will be fun. WM should outlast Attack but it will be close.

East is equally up for grabs. Have seen most in tournaments this season and my pick is SIR, that's a team built for the playoffs. NT is a surprise, I don't see them at the same level as the top 3 in West or others in East.

WM made a nice run in the Kennedy a couple of weeks back, but no chance at taking 6 points from the Eagles.

I'm going Avs & Eagles in the finals. From there too close to predict.

SIR & Aeros is my pick for East finals.

Hearing VR has many candidates including a coach who wants to bring half the VP AA team.

Hasn’t a decision already been made with announcement today?

Tomorrow.

That team is mostly made up of last seasons VR A team, so expect a slight improvement over this season if true.

Hope its true. People can make fun of VP AA all they want, but at least they would be an improvement on the current VR team. Bringing in the select coach makes zero sense. Those 2 select teams are terrible. VP AA is equal to WM so it would improve the level of competition.

100%! Has the select coach been given the spot, or still TBC?
