The top West teams all have their pros and cons. But generally most of them are better than East.
VP - have a very weak goalie and no stud scorers, rely on solid D, tight and well coached roster. Their performance in the playoffs will depend 150% on goaltending, teams that can score early and often can beat them.
MNS - will rely on their super scorers and very strong D with a solid goalie behind them. Their problem is they shy away from physicality and they have 2-3 kids who should play select. It will depend on whether coach sits them, hes a yeller so the odds are high.
FT - much like above also have a couple of super scorers and a solid goalie. Well coached and disciplined, kids mesh well. Their D is weak and is for the most part getting cut so that’s what will decide their fate. Coach is ruthless, like MNS will sit a third of the roster to win.
VR - good all around team, fight and battle hard on the boards. Their fortunes will depend on how many dumb penalties they take and they take alot. Lack up front scorers so they have to play as a strong team. If things go badly they give up. Coaches kind of nuts.
MB - overrated, without their stud up front they don’t have much else. Also cycling out D like FT so that’s what teams should target. They can be dirty like VR but for some reason the refs don’t punish them for it.
