Lots of recycled parts. With contact starting, I don’t see a lot of available kids who will make an impact.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 10:00 am Here's your rumour mill:
NYR - looking to get bigger, some not happy there... skating kids from G to OMHA. Losing both Goalies. Probably 5-6 new faces
JRC - changes coming, people leaving on their own or not asked back. Looking at same kids as NYR. Probably 3-4 new faces minimum.
DMF - Is coach staying? Nobody knows and it will change team moving forward who's on the bench. Likely only a couple of changes.
TM - new coaches looking at ALL options, only 5 kids committed to returning for next season. Neither goalie has a spot yet. Where will they find all necessary players?
VK - parents control team, think bringing in new players will solve issues. Both goalies leaving, looking for entire new D core.
MR - few of their players seen at other bday skates. Frenchy leaving because never stay on same team for multiple seasons. Total mystery what happens. Probably 4-5 new faces.
Nats - might need a whole new team. 7-10 kids leaving, even some to lower teams. This team could be much worse.
TRW - looking at AA and AAA kids, running weekly skates and trying to get kids from everywhere. Likely to improve somewhat, but size could be a challenge.
TT - open to changes with everyone except money-kids. Need goalies, probably getting one from a top team. Trying to buy entire groups of kids from G, OMHA, Alliance, USA, China, etc.
Sens - should be open to change everything. Picking up Nats players, maybe some OMHA and alliance kids and a new goalie.... main recruiter won't commit to returning and likely leaves. Could be a mess for LD to fix.
MM - only 3-4 kids guaranteed to return with new coaches. Where do they find new players?
Reps - who knows, nobody on that team should be happy with season outcome. Many calling around but not sure any team higher takes them. Most destined for AA again.

Top teams all waiting on out of GTA kids (north, quebec or USA)
Some may land, others may not. Sometimes these parents are serious and others they just want to be chased.

Who from OMHA and Alliance is likely to join G next year? I get some OMHA centers are not too much of a drive but who from Alliance would be moving to play in the G

Nobody from alliance will come I don’t think. Brantford’s goalie was coming last year but didn’t get released, he may show up but I bet alliance kids go to OMHA first. We’ve had calls from OMHA kids so they will have spots to fill
