Uncle Buck

The new additions to the team sold their collective souls by letting DMF subsidize their hockey season. Maybe they should have thought it through beforehand. Then again, most of these kids and their parents have a history of complaining year after year anyway.
Must suck to be owned!
They have multiple players that have been on 3 to 4 teams in the last 4 years. Nothing new in those parents complaining.
JE fault for not doing his homework. Or ignoring what is right in front of him.
Ya because you shouldn't complain when a cpl players are almost doubling your kids ice. If roles were reversed the entitled parents would complain too.

My kid played on the same team as Tie Domi’s son, Max, don’t talk to me about entitlement in parents. This dude would lose his fu@k!ng mind if his kid didn’t get the most ice time
CTE probably didn't help

Who are the free riders? I thought DMF players all pay fees?

lol they're in 2nd (tied for 1st really) place with a +12 goal differential. How are we possibly making fun of DMF tonight?

Over the holidays, my buddy and I were talking with some friends about work, he’s a teacher at a hockey school. The conversation turned to how parents will pay anything for the chance of their kid making it to higher level hockey. We both feel bad sometimes because, while the schools aren’t doing anything wrong, it’s a business at the end of the day, some of these kids are just average and won’t likely go beyond where they are now. Yet, the parents are so invested, and for some of these kids, hockey is their whole identity. I’m not here to bash the parents or the schools, they’re providing a service but it’s a reminder that we should all stay realistic. It’s important to support our kids, but also to help them understand that nothing is guaranteed, and going to a hockey school doesn’t mean they’ll end up playing at a high level as they get older.

again DMF put in a weak group so they can look good, we'll see how they do against the real competition over the weekend. Remember SS?

Your take is dumb. This tournament didn’t start until 12:40pm today and all games before that were a waste of time however the round of 16 was some really good hockey.

Even mentioning CRC and the Sens shows how smart you are.

Does it say somewhere in the rules that the Marlies can decide who they play against? According to the schedule they were supposed to get the winner of Huron Pert and the Jr. Canadiens but now they’re playing Little Caesars. Imagine making it all the way to the finals without playing a top ten team.

Different rules for different folks, don’t like? Don’t watch.
