Does ice time in Klevr at U7 level vary greatly by lines or will it be distributed almost equally among all players? If ice time is different, would it be better to be on a lower line in Tier 1 or higher line in Tier 2?
If coaches are not equally distributing ice time at u7 that’s a problem. The kids are 6. It may vary by coach but at this age most coaches are not that crazy. At u9 ice time will vary for the most part but some coaches will still play who they trust the most or favs.
Kids not getting equal ice in U9 is a major problem too. But all these Klevr programs want to win so that they can sell their 'success'.

Not all of them, but if your kid is a lower end player and they are carrying more than 10 players then you should be asking the coach how they plan to run the bench before you commit.
Klevr just announced they will be having regular season scheduled games outside tournaments. I know a lot of GTA programs were already doing so anyway, but probably even better for kids' development playing games regularly instead of waiting a month and then playing 5 games at a tournament.
This is 100% accurate! I run a klevr program in the gta and was approached by a current coach with the Hamilton Ironmen 2018 program toting how good his team is and how dominant they have been all season. I took the time this past weekend to catch two of their games as our team was in the same division at the same arena. As it turns out, his 2018 team has at least 6 2017 skaters and I believe a 2017 goalie. Further to that, the coach ran his top line nearly 70% of the two games I watched. Our organization has established feeding our local aaa centre and he came to me boasting that he’s trying to build a core group for his future TRW coaching role he lined up. I’d steer clear of coaches like this as it isn’t what this league is about.
Rolling one line 70% of the games so you can win and brag leaves the balance of your team behind
It’s a sad state of affairs imo.

We played them too.
I asked a convener about this.
The team is a mix of 2018 and 2017s that’s why they are ONLY allowed to play in a 2017 division, nothing wrong with played a year up. Good to know KSL was on top of it
We didn’t notice top line playing 70% of the time but you’ll get that with certain coaches and organization. Do your homework. We are love our coaches and wouldn’t change it
Hamilton has played 2018 teams all year until the recent tournament. They have multiple 2017 kids that drive from Newmarket because they didn’t make the Northern Saints and wanted to avoid MD hockey. It’s such a loser mentality to brag about this when they play this older kids most of the game against the ‘18’s. It’s one of the sad realities of Klevr but those people aren’t helping their kids. Hamilton is a joke and the coach is an embarrassment.
New to Klver.... for future exhibition games, can a Klver team play a 'non-Klver' team? Is this frowned upon by Klver upper management? I know this would go against Hockey Canada mandates.
KSL isn’t on top of anything. No hand shaking sends a great message as does the amount of kids playing as over age players.
The league is what it is, everyone trying to avoid half ice garbage.
