No one is condoning any inappropriate behavior if it occurred. However, it is entirely unfair and inappropriate to drag children into this situation. These kids are not responsible for the actions of adults. They joined their teams, to play the sport they love with their friends.

Yes, some parents and players may have had negative experiences, and their voices deserve to be heard. But there are also families who’ve had positive, supportive experiences within the program. The focus should remain on protecting the well-being of the children and allowing them to enjoy the game—free from adult conflict and online negativity.

Let’s remember who this is really about—and who it should not be about.
