It’s still going, isn’t it all weekend? Tournaments are tournaments, what are you expecting to happen? It’s just a money maker to keep your kid busy, although at 2009 he should be hitting the books.

Remember folks, in these tournaments it’s hard work and grit that get you noticed. This is a showcase tournament. If you have elite skating, we want to see it. If you dig pucks in the corner, get in there. Show us why you deserve that spot over the guy next to you.

I’m sure a lot of people chose this hockey thing because they didn’t like school. They thought “hey why not try this hockey thing, might be easy”. Just score a little bit, right? If you just do it because you want to be a superstar then you’re not going to make if it’s your primary goal. You got to do it because you love to do it.

Looking to get some opinions, how long should my kid keep trying to get on a AAA team? He’s been trying for years. When do we give it up? It’s all been a huge investment and nothing much to show for it.
