The Prep hockey aspect is quite interesting to be honest.

Speaking to a few families that gone through it, it was a positive experience.
On the ice every day with team, from team training to individual work.
Gym work outs every day with custom work out plans for the individual.

My son never got that playing in the GTHL throughout his journey so far.

I see this being the route in Ontario in 5 years.

Going to a hockey school was the in thing but this can be the number one option if it's done right.

My son has played at a high level without having to go to a hockey school or spend thousands of dollars. If a player is truly talented, their skill and work ethic will shine through no matter where they play. Development is important, but I think sometimes people underestimate the value of just playing the game, gaining experience, and having the right mindset.

Everest, St Mikes and SAC are registered, expecting 8 to 10 schools to be playing. A positive move by the organizers.

Great news! Only a few more schools to go before we officially rename it the Prep Cup Pay to Play Invitational. Remember folks, real talent gets scouted... not invoiced!

Say what you want, a new competitor is in town. This is just another option.
This will hurt small organizations.
It's another option just like the full ice league (Klevr League) for youth hockey.

St. Mikes is a top school. At least they are selective with who they take unlike some of the made up hockey schools like Hill, Everest
