Rangers Pull Off Thrilling Shootout Comeback Against Greyhounds
Kitchener Rangers pull off a Hollywood-esque comeback! Down 4-1 late in the second, they storm back to win in a 15-round shootout thriller. This begs the question, are dramatic comebacks a sign of resilience or simply poor game management early on? I'm leaning towards resilience, especially given the performance of 16-year-old backup goalie Jason Schaubel. He stood on his head in that shootout! Does this signal a changing of the guard in the Kitchener net? What are your thoughts on the increasing prevalence of shootouts deciding games at all levels of hockey? Is it an exciting finish or a skills competition that takes away from the flow of the game? Share your opinions. Bold prediction: Schaubel will be the Rangers starting goalie by the end of the season.
