Goalie Training North GTA / EAST of GTA

Post by Guest »

My son is a young goalie, just trying to get a good idea of what goalie training is available out there and any recommendations.

We have gone to a few in the area North of Toronto, and in the Durham area.

- looking for someone who is good with younger kids (but also doesn't let them get away with being sloppy)
- has decent availability (evenings, weekends)
- Not ridiculously expensive

We like Direct Motion goaltending - Daniel and Matt are great with younger kids but they are based more in the city.

GTI is the best for my money. Great technique and good teachers. Only issue is that if you’re not a big spender your kid doesn’t get the same treatment as the money players.

Mcguire runs out of Canlan in Markham - both North and east GTA. They also run some Saturday clinics in Richmond Hill which are pretty cost reasonable.

GTI are the best trainers in the GTA. I do agree that they treat you better if you are AAA and in the G. Otherwise you’re not really important to them.
