1000 per week or 30 000 per season is almost impossible for 1 player , it can be done and I would have to give praise to a kid that can commit like that
Power skating one day per week and stick craft or shooting / Scoring another day per week will only cost you about 6000 per season if the player is fully committed
Joining a team takes time and money
Kids need rest from their team schedule
Playing other sports and activities will help the kids become who they become
Let them play outside or hang around somewhere with school mates
Balance your life , hockey will always be there

Nope, my kid has no friends. I’m his coach and all he’s allowed to do is train or workout.

Too many kids and parents will be heart broken and disappointed. That much time in ice does not gaurantee the pros. But beer league is where the vast majority will end up anyway.
