If it’s a Greek coach. Run, he will play his kid and put him on the top line, even though the kid sucks.

This is crazy but some place do this.
Very unethical. If this is happening, run.
How is it unethical? If you have the proper certifications, there's no reason why you can't get paid and coach your kid at the same time, as long as there are checks and balances in place.

There is an argument that all coaches should be paid. Does your swimming instructor get paid? Does your karate sensai get paid? Does your dance coach get paid?

Why is is that some sports coaches get paid and others done on a volunteer basis?

I've seen bad paid coaches and unbelievable volunteer coaches.
