I know kids who were in the Q decades ago and went on to be addicts or did nothing with hockey past high school. Parents think getting selected to things like this at a young age is the end all be all. Crazy.
What's the point of your first sentence? The truth can be said for any league. If it makes you sleep better at night hating, have at it. Enjoy your Canlan tournaments. Not one person said this tournament or being selected was the end all be all. You just have conversations with yourself and assume that's what we believe. Truth is, we don't think that.
It just gets tiresome seeing every tournament or 'invitation' thing make itself out to be the most selective super elite experience ever....how is it that every year there is something new that one must be a part of or they are irrelevant? Let's get to middle school first, thanks. and the point of my first sentence is if you have 10 or 11 year old kid and they aren't any better than anyone else. Stay humble
