Centre Wellington lost its top players and goalie
I also heard that they are not even playing AA.
That leaves the door open for Hamilton Huskies to win the OMHAs now that they have left the Alliance.
How does the Huskies moving to OMHA mean they are immediately the best team? Every team in GTHL West is better then them
It doesn't - we are all just wildly speculating, lol
With open borders, no one really know how any team in the OMHA is going to perform.
I know the Huskies had a lot of kids tryout from nearby centres and a lot of their team from last year has been replaced, which would indicate an improvement.
That sounds a lot like Oakville. Trying to replace their team with everyone elses players!
I'm sure there was some active recruiting but these organizations should be picking and icing the best team possible. Doesn't matter if they live around the corner from the rink or from 2 hours away. And it shouldn't matter if someone has been on the team for many years.
While development and creating a positive environment is important, for a lot of people, it comes down to wins and loses. And if you are winning, you'd be surprised how great your culture is.
