Since MD is what the rest of the province already calls non contact A hockey this is finally the correct move and opens up tons of tournament options anyway - nothing worse than driving to Pittsburgh to play 3 GTHL teams ...and you're not allowed to advance past regionals in the play downs or Silver Stick because of the contact

Looks like the MHL will have some sort of “A” division. Both Applewood and Meadowvale have teams listed as having an A team
Streetsville also has “A” listed on tryout dates.

Sounds like parents will have less driving for A level hockey.

2016 A level are not registered with the Gthl for next season. You would think the Mhl or Omha would make an announcement.
