Exactly! Great opportunity. Matthews and McDavid’s agent was there. He was salivating and said “sign em all”Guest wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 7:19 pmWhat's your problem. Good opportunity for the kids that were flying under the radar.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 7:03 pmI’m an NHL scout and I was there. All scouts watch spring hockey. That’s where the best hockey is played. That’s where we found Crosby, McDavid and Bedard. Every player who’s ever played in the NHL since 2002 has played in this Philly tourney. Can’t wait for every player from this weekend to be playing in the show in the coming years. To all of my fellow scouts, you all did a great job this weekend watching 15 years olds in spring… also Santa was there.

It was a great event actually, all the ego maniac players were not in attendance. Bigger than the game attitudes.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 6:39 amExactly! Great opportunity. Glad we did it. I counted 5 so called top players not there for obvious reasons.

Some players didn’t show so well this weekend. Some are slippin and times are changing.
Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
It’s called reality. Too much politics keeping the best from competing at the highest levels. That’s why scouts are looking at AA in the G now. Many higher quality players that don’t have the bankrolls to buy positions in AAA. But it’s not like we’ve seen the results of this on our National programme.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 7:18 am Some players didn’t show so well this weekend. Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
I doubt that is true, but for sure a top AA player is better than a low end AAA player.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 7:56 amIt’s called reality. You would be surprised. Maybe not for the OHL draft but Jr A B teams are looking for kids that will work hard and develop. Too much entitlement in Toronto area AAA and coaches don’t want to deal with the attitude. Wait and see.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 8:32 amI doubt that is true, but for sure a top AA player is better than a low end AAA player.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 7:56 amIt’s called reality. And G kids, although skilled, are soft with low competeGuest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 8:37 amYou would be surprised. Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
Do the math..
135 entries at $525 a registration = $70,825
And + the 2011 division
Not a bad weekend would you say?
Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
GTA squad looked good on paper not so good on the ice. Not one player stood out to me. SCTA dominated them and they were missing 3 top kids.
