Thats a lot of money.
You can do a lot as a team with the additional 2K plus savings per family. Smart move by the “non parent” coach versus taking advantage of hard working families where coaches kids benefit$. Ice ice baby!
Ok Ranger parent. Another dismal season coming for you right around the corner. Enjoy.
No excuses then, when you happen to find yourself behind VR this time with your two so called “practices.” :lol:
$3500. That’s cheap. My kid needs to focus more on school and less on hockey at this age. One practice sounds appealing. Hearing that it’s a non-parent Coach as well which is a bonus. Anyone know when the next Rangers skate is?
Hearing both Ranger teams East and West going with one practice and cheaper budgets next season.
Guess it all comes down to any team “extras” and the talent being drawn into both Ranger programs. Open Boarders can definitely be a game changer.

Seems teams are setting in, here's what I've gathered as I've now done the circuit of skates and speaking to coaches.

Eagles - surpisingly have a couple open spots

Avs - 1-2 open spots

Sharks - full

Attack - full

West Mall - need a goalie and D

Panthers - full

Rangers - not sure

Eagles = Average

Avs = rely on jersey cre$t to attract

Sharks = Respectable

Attack = barn burner

West Mall = waiting on 3rd line AA drops

Panthers = $$$$$$$$

Rangers = Affordable hockey

Anyone looking for a Dman? My son doesn't want to play body contact any longer and now looking for a new team.
I know its late in the process but if anyone has D spots open let us know

Someone just did a breakdown of this, it's literally on the previous page. Try West Mall, Eagles and Rangers to start, but no harm in contacting the others.

If same coach is returning to WML, I suggest you skip that team. They’ve lost some players because of him specifically.
TE, Attack and Sharks seem to have normal people coaching. I’m not including VP and VR because no one actually believes they’ll improve next season. Avs team is full.

Rangers skate looked really good. Got some AA drops from the OMHA. It was fast and physical. This team will be top next year.
:lol: "Drop downs" never cuts eh? This team will be horrendous.
We’ve been to all the Rangers skates and will be completely honest here. First skate was mostly select kids, not very strong. But they now seem to be attracting higher caliber A & AA OMHA kids from bordering cities like Caledonia, King, and Richmond Hill. Looking to cross over into the GTHL. Engaged with several of these open border parents looking to cross over at the skate. Rangers will definitely look different next season. They’ll be more competitive which is great news for the west division.
What goes up must come down, and then goes back up again.VR potentially could be easily a top 2 team in this loop hands down, especially if their budget plus program is as highly super attractive as claimed.
Attractive it is. Heard from a reliable source that they’re going with one practice per week run by All Star Hockey. $3500 all in, incl. GTHL fee. Rangers get tonnes of Sponsorship and subsidized ice which helps keep costs down. Also hearing Panthers Budget north of $6000.
Holy cow you’re making stuff up here. I know sometimes it’s hard to sense satire in written words, but that’s the only excuse I can think of. $3500 is a select budget and doesn’t include league fees. Rangers teams build their own sponsorships and no team worth their salt in A level hockey is doing a single practice. They need all the help they can get. The only thing right about this post is the All Star hockey. JR is very popular in the Vaughan org. And there isn’t a better trainer to get the most out of the kids.
