Not sure, wasn’t there. I heard there were a couple scouts at the games though. Looking to draft for the OHL

You’ve got the one dad pacing like he’s the head coach, the mom with a cowbell who thinks she’s at a D1 championship, and at least three parents live-streaming the whole thing like ESPN just called. And don’t even get me started on the one who brought a laminated roster with player stats.
If you’re doing this shit at this age group you gotta be a complete loser!!!!!!!
You just described the entire DD parent group.

91 is getting benched is AAA due to poor performance. 50 goals in AA = 5 goals in AAA. You have to be a tank to play AAA.

How come so many kids are begging to play AAA, especially the average types? What do you really think is going to become of it? Do you think you will make OHL? NHL? Is it your parents dream? Are you not average in anything else? Boggles the mind.
Of course kids are trying to get to AAA .. this is the last year of AAA. Why would you not want them to play with the best? Just got my kid a spot on a AAA team and it is the first time we have made the move to AAA. He is pumped and I am pumped for him. Lots of options can open up from here. Some of you don't get it .. in the same way you keep your options taking hard courses in Grade 11 to set yourself up for Grade 12 .. do the same thing in hockey. Get yourself on a AAA team and all kinds of hockey/school options open up from there.
Oh boy, another dad with a pipe dream…
You don't get it Pal. You keep your kids dreams alive. Put them in position to achieve .. and yes, that means to play against the best at U18 .. and that means AAA! Listen, I don't expect him to get an offer in the OHL but put him in position to get a Div 1 or Div 3 Scholarship. Play Canadian University hockey .. play European Pro. Stay in AA and those dreams start to die very very fast. Mediocrity is not in my vocabulary or my kids vocabulary.

Nah, you don’t get it. Your kid ain’t going D1, D3, Europe or cracking a Canadian uni team, it’s a straight up pipe dream. You’re setting him up to fail, hyping him up like he’s the next Matthews when he’s barely standing out.
Dads like you are a coach’s worst nightmare, always crying about ice time and acting like your kid’s a superstar. I actually feel bad for him, he’s got a one way ticket to beer league while you’re still out here dreaming.

Buddy, if your kid was still in AA this year or even first year of AAA at U18AAA no chance he's getting an NCAA scholarship. Maybe ACHA is a possibility but you're paying for school and he'll need the grades. The sooner you realize it and tell him to focus on school instead of hockey the better off you and your kid will be. If you're post isn't a joke, it's quite funny.

You don’t know the talent my kid has. His only focus and goal is to be a hockey player. I even told him to not worry about school at all and only focus on hockey, so we put him in a private school where they don’t care if they use ChatGPT. My thought process is he could’ve been average at both hockey and school, or to be a generational talent in hockey. With pure focus on hockey it’s taken him to another level. There was multiple development years of AA but we finally did it. It’s guys like you who are jealous when new doors open for people and they have a chance to make it big. Now that we signed the contract, next step is getting an agent to brand him to the big schools in the states.
